I bring over 20 years of experience, within that time serving as a therapist, supervisor, trainer, and consultant. My work has always focused on increasing access to quality mental health services for communities of color. I’ve worked in community agencies, K–12 schools, universities, tribal colleges, reservations, rural and urban communities, and with immigrant and refugee populations. Along the way, I saw how often families needed deeper, more culturally grounded support than traditional systems offered. This has led me to my most recent chapter - Healing Through Culture.

About Me as a Clinician

Licensure

I am fully licensed in the states of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Montana. I am also licensed as a PSYPACT psychologist meaning that I can provide telehealth services in any state that has passed PSYPACT legislation. You can visit https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap to see if your state is a PSYPACT state.

My Clinical Approach

I am trained as a generalist, meaning that I am able to work with a variety of concerns and symptoms. I often work with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression.

My approach to therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. I pull from different tools, like practical skill-building, focusing on relationships, mindfulness, and creating a safe, supportive space. No matter what, I always ground the work in cultural strengths and community traditions.
